Quiet Roots

Nervous System Support,
Seasonal Living &
a Return to Joy.

Coming back to yourself

If you’re fed up with feeling stressed and living in survival mode and would like to feel calmer, more grounded, more fully yourself againThis is a place for you.

My work is rooted in Ayurveda, non-sleep deep rest (NSDR), Seasonal living and a solution focused approach (SFA). I’m also a writer, food grower and creative cook.Step into Quiet Roots, a place you arrive at slowly. Like stepping into a warm kitchen after rain, or finding a quiet corner of yourself you forgot you missed.

What the world needs now

Is love sweet love

When your nervous system is at rest your heart produces the strongest electromagnetic field in your body, radiating a field of peace and harmony that impacts your environment. When stressed, the coherence of that field collapses. And so, I’ve created this space with links to everything I offer, some still in the making, to support your nervous system back to balance. In today’s world rebalancing your nervous system is one of the most radical things you can do.

The Peaceful Belly Kitchen

Once rest is restored life becomes colourful again. The Peaceful Belly Kitchen is the playful side of Quiet Roots.

Here, story simmers beside the soup pot, while friendship and nourishment share a table. Seasonal recipes sit alongside warmth, creativity and the enjoyment of being fully present in ordinary, simple moments again. It’s where creativity returned for me, as I started writing a book called “The Peaceful Belly Kitchen”, about a cafe in a field people stumble upon. It’s a place people arrive at tired, hungry, curious, or lost. They share food, conversation, laughter and without trying to fix themselves, healing happens.

Follow me on Instagram for a playful approach to recipes, and snippets from The peaceful Belly Kitchen, where some of the recipes appear!

Substack

Quiet Roots also lives on Substack, where I write warm words for weary minds, recipes, articles, and chapters from The Peaceful Belly Kitchen as the story slowly unfolds.

The Longer Dream

Further ahead is the Vézère Valley project

Half a hectare of land in the Dordogne, where an old wooden table in a kitchen garden, birdsong, the seasons, rest, story and seasonal living will come together. The offerings I’m creating begin online and end up on the land. There is also the plan to raise the money through my products to cover the cost for urban community leaders to come out for a well earned rest, to nourish and brainstorm how to take this work back into the cities, and to celebrate what they are already doing.
